Church Leaders
Jesus Christ gives pastors and elders to His church to lead us (Ephesians 4:11-16). We are very thankful for the men Jesus Christ has given to us at Peninsula Reformed Presbyterian Church.
As a mission work, we are particularly grateful for the men God has provided from around the regional church to help lead us. We also look forward to the day when Jesus will provide us with elders from our local congregation.
Matt is the pastor of Peninsula Reformed Presbyterian Church. He was born in Philadelphia and has had the opportunity to live and serve in various places around the world. He enjoys reading, sports, and backpacking. Matt and his wife Hyojung have four boys.
K.W. “Pete” Hurst was a minister in the PCA for over forty years beforetransferring to the OPC to support the PRPC church plant. Pete and his wife,Brenda, have four children and fourteen grandchildren. They are self-employed asfull-time real estate agents.
Lowell is the pastor of Reformation Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Virginia Beach. Lowell and his wife Mae have five children.
Nate is a ruling elder of Reformation Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is a husband to Kathryn and is currently serving in the Navy as a Mariner Skills Instructor at the Mariner Skills Training Center Atlantic.
Lacy is the Regional Home Missionary of the OPC Presbytery of the Southeast. As the Regional Home Missionary of our presbytery, Lacy is responsible for helping to start churches throughout Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. He has been a great encouragement to our church!
Steve is the retired Regional Home Missionary of the OPC Presbytery of the Mid-Atlantic. He served churches in California, Nebraska, and Vermont before returning to serve as a church planter and then Regional Home Missionary in his native Virginia. He is particularly thankful for his family – a believing wife, four children, and eleven grandchildren.
